In order to answer Codifar’s need for more agile delivery management system for the distribution of pharmaceutical products, Geoglobal developed an information system that has the ability to track company fleets using GPS, consisting also of the periodic communication of the vehicle’s location and the ability of finding, in real time, where any given vehicle is. The implementation of this type of system implied the design and development of software that permitted the tracking of mobile units (approximately 160 vehicles), and also the control over delivery and collection services and the management of communications within the system. In the control centre, it required the automatic and specific tracking of the various mobile units, plus the management of deliveries and communications, involving a total of 7 territorial platforms. This project also includes the supply of 2D cartography at the road network level and door numbers.  The system also enables the drafting of cartographic reports which show the routes taken by each vehicle.
