Geoglobal has developed for Portugal Telecom a specific solution to match address and delete redundant records from databases. Based on a set of plausibility algorithms and a suitable application structure, it was possible to automate the process of filtering duplicate records, reducing human intervention to the maximum.

In the system of address validation and normalization, all records were compared with the reference address database, owned by Geoglobal.

The result was a purified database, with a template that allowed correlating the source databases records with the purified database. In order to be able to make this connection, preventing any loss of information, a common key (link) was used between the different databases. In total, more than 10 million records were processed.
