This project included the georeferencing and characterization of vertical traffic signs in the municipality of Baião. This task was carried out according to RST - Regulamento de Sinalização do Trânsito (Traffic Sign Regulation).

Vertical signs consist of signs or panels which, because of their location, shape, color, type and also through symbols and / or alphanumeric characters, transmit to the driver a visual message of a certain meaning.

Purpose of the municipality: Use GIS to support the planning and management of road network, fostering a faster and more effective intervention in the response to the problems of those who travel daily in this territory.
